Having a great time at the 9/10 Concert Band  in Savannah, GA.  Congrats to these two Decatur students!!

In April 2011, the World Travelling Decatur High School Band visited the Fray Victor Maria Flores High School in Tuxtla-Gutiérrez, Chiapas Mexico.  The month, we will complete this exciting cultural and musical exchange by hosting our friends from Chiapas here in Decatur.  The trip will be Monday March 19 – Monday March 26.  See the Spring 2012 Chiapas page for more details, including a preliminary itinerary.

Our 2012 Marching Band season promises to be the most fun, most successful yet!

Remember, commitment forms are due by March 30.  Email Mrs. Williams (mwilliams@csdecatur.net) with questions!

The 2012-2013 Commitment form is online! If you intend to join the DHS Marching Band for our exciting 2012 season, click the DOWNLOADS tab, and print the commitment form.  Submit this form and a $200 deposit by April 2!

Ask around! Students are learning great music and having a GREAT time! Join us next year for a possible trip to NYC!

DISTRICT HONOR BAND WEEK!

If you made district honor band, please see the schedule below! CONGRATS to you!

*Bring lunch and dinner money for Friday! Lunch money for Saturday!

Friday, February 10 – Arrive at DHS by 7:45
Load the bus, leave DHS at 8:10
Arrive at Stephenson High School – 8:40
You will do the SAME on Saturday!

Friday night you should be home around 9 pm.

SATURDAY – Please note that you will not have time to come home before the concert.  Bring CONCERT BLACK with you on Saturday!!

Concerts for high school: 3:30, 9/10 Honor Band; 4:30, 11/12

There will be NO bus returning on Saturday.  Parents are responsible for coming to the concert and picking students up.
